I understand from our SAS administrator that we need to renew our machine tomorrow and that we will not be able to export to a MS Excel 2007 version. Importing a 2007 Excel file is no problem. Will there be a hot fix file to export an excel.xslx file?

Hi:
I'm not exactly sure of the mechanics within EG, but with SAS 9.2, Phase 2, you CAN use PROC EXPORT or the LIBNAME engine to export to .XLSX file (Excel 2007 format files).
http://support.sas.com/kb/32/455.html

EG 4.2 works with SAS 9.2 -- but does your administrator know whether you are getting SAS 9.2 Phase 1 or SAS 9.2 Phase 2. That would be the place to start looking. Tech Support could help you or your SAS Admin out with this question, too.
