how to create a windows subfolder via a unix command

imagine that I have this windows path:

/tmp/user1/test

and that I would like to create the sub-directory jan2025

Is there a unix command to create the sub-directory jan2025 to obtain /tmp/user1/test /jan2025

What happens when you just do:

mkdir /tmp/user1/test/jan2025
