I just installed SAS EGuide 4.2 and it defaults to the SAS Report for output. I've been searching the SAS product documentation and can find that it is used for the SAS Information Delivery Portal (web output), but I can't really find anything that helps me understand why it is useful if you don't have the portal.

Does anyone have any pointers as to the advantages or disadvantages of its use (Searching for "sas report" was so generic as to be unproductive.).

Thanks,
Jay. Thanks. Very helpful. Our usual final destination is a Word document, so I'll have to wait for the export to .RTF to take advantage of it's ability to combine pieces of reports (Chris: Hint, Hint.).
