AFAIK, there is no such option. You can limit the default number of tables displayed in a library. The default value is 500. If you reduced this value that would improve performance. Also using the latest version of EG - 8.3 Update 5 - should give you better performance than earlier versions.

Hello All,

How do we disable the display of the column names of a table in EG?

Under Servers-->SASApp-->Libraries--->(LIBNAME) -->(TABLE NAME)

It shows all field names when I expand the Table name. I would like to disable this feature and I dont want to expand to see column names?

Thanks

I would like to see only tables when I expand the library. I dont want to expand table to see the column names. In 7.1 version we could see only the table name. if we want to see its columns then we could see using the properties.

Thanks

You only see tables when you expand libraries, not columns in EG 8. You only see columns if you expand a table. If you don't want to see columns just don't expand tables.

Indeed you are right... but I see we could increase the performance without having the columns loaded. so wanted to know if there are any settings/options that could be adapted in order to increase the performance or reduce the loading time

Thanks
