Working with project after installation of Enterprise Guide

After installation of Enterprise Guide, whitelisting of IP and creating profile. What are things to follow to start with new project as a fresher from creating permanent library in server to connection to odbc? I have the data in Excel sheet and have the idea of basic programming in Enterprise Guide. After preparing data in Enterprise Guide and what is the procedure to use the data prepared in Enterprise Guide to Visual Analytics to prepare Dashboard.
