EG: "check if data item 5 of 333 is temporary...."

Hello,

When quitting EG, it almost always hangs and says "check if data item X of Y is temporary...", which in many cases takes long time before finally asking if I want to save changes..

1. What does it do?

2. I am not seeing its practical value. How to turn it off?

You can turn that off by going to Tools --> Options --> Data --> Data General and unchecking "Always prompt when closing a project with temporary data references".
