      <description>&lt;P&gt;In Enterprise Guide you can select which SAS server you use to run the SAS code.&amp;nbsp; Just connect to a server that is using UTF-8 encoding (often referred to as Unicode) instead of the one you are currently using.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you do not see another server to connect to then talk to your SAS system administrators about creating one.&amp;nbsp; Everyone should have one now to handle data that is using Unicode characters.&amp;nbsp; Single byte encodings, like WLATIN2, can only represent 256 characters.&amp;nbsp; There is no way it can handle the multitude of characters possible in Unicode.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
