Error on connecting sql server from SAS EG

Hi,

I tried to connect sql server from SAS EG(Unix) using the below code:

libname sql1 sqlsvr user="XXXXXXX" password="XXXXXXX" datasrc=XXXXXX;

libname sql1 odbc user="XXXXXXX" password="XXXXXXX" datasrc=XXXXXX;

I got the below error:

CLI error trying to establish connection: [SAS][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol driver]A value was not specified for the
Domain connection option. A domain name or workgroup must be specified when using Domain NTLM.

Could you please direct me the right ways to resolve the issue?

Hi,

few things to try:

1) make sure your user= field is in format -- > user="Domain\userid"

2) include schema= option

3) if you are using a windows account (I believe you are) to authenticate against sql server, you might need to change a few things http://support.sas.com/kb/48/348.html
