Enterprise Guide 7.1 freezes when creating new profile and click on set Active

Hi There,

This is Dheeraj Pal , New to the SAS community.

I have installed the SAS on the server and added myself as administrator. Now I have installed the (enterprise Guide Client. On starting the Enterprise Guide, It ask to create a profile. After creating a profile . When I am clicking on Set Active button. Enterprise Guide hangs . Then, I have to close it using the Task Manager.

Please advise

Please verify that the ports used for communication between EG and server are not blocked by firewalls. You have roles for using Enterprise Guide in metadata?

We have turned off the firewall (for testing purpose). Could you please help me understanding Roles for Enterprise Guide in metadat? Where should I verify it?

Start SAS Management Console, navigate to User-Manager, uncheck Users and Groups. Now you see all roles defined in metadata, there should be four roles named like "Enterprise Guide: *". In order to use EG the user needs to be member of one of the groups.
