topic SAS libname error in SAS Enterprise Guide

Hi, I am very new to SAS and am working through the tutorials online. When trying to create a library in Lesson 2 using the libname statement, no matter what file path I use I always get the error "Library out does not exist"

I am accessing SAS EG on a remote server, so is there another step I need to make it find the folder path?

Thanks

You can't add a local path as a library you need to create the folder you want to designate as a lib on your remote server.
This would only work if you mapped your local folder onto the remote server or had a SASBase installation on your local machine.

To see path available to you, use any of the Open... dialogues, and chose Server.

Alternatively, contact you SAS server admin to get started.
