I'm using SAS EG on a VM through citrix and I want to "move an excel file to the server."

how do I do that exactly?

I want to manipulate it using proc import, but it wont read the file because of the location.

I think you need to talk to someone in your IT department to get either a file share or the connection details for moving the file.

Is the Excel file also present on the Citrix VM? In which case you can use the built-in file transfer task in EG.

You access this via the File menu of EG. What EG version are you using?
