topic Parallel processing in SAS Data Integration Studio (ETL) in SAS Enterprise Guide

Hi All, I am new to SAS DI studio. I wanted to know if we can run the 2 jobs at the same time both of which inserts/updates the same target table.
In short:
1) Is it possible in SAS DIS to run 2 jobs at the same time.
2) If yes, then in above mentioned scenario, while updating the same target table will there be any locking or resource access problem...

any help or guide in this case would be highly appreciated.

regards
Hi:
Since this is the SAS Enterprise Guide forum, and since the question is more platform/configuration/DI Studio specific, your best bet is to contact Tech Support. They can look at your particular configuration and your installation and help you find the best way to do your updates.
Hi,

as far as I know this is not possible (except if you have a SAS/SHARE Server running). SAS requires an exclusive lock on the affected tables...

hope that helps,
