Seems like you want to use Program History! Check out SAS developer Joe Flynn talking about this and the debugger in this recent SAS Tech Talk.

Also check out the ability to compare SAS programs in general:

Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a way of being able to change the color of certain values/parts of the code. The reason for this is I want to be able to easily show what ive changed - a way to compare a new version with an old one, having the changes stand out. I know of the syntax options in the editor options but can't seem to figure out how to highlight my own words. Is this possible or is some kind of version control possible in SAS?
