      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can use the same method for both. In code use a LIBNAME statement. If the library is on the SAS server you can still use the SAS server name in your UNC just like you use another server name.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A SAS library is a directory in the filesystem for which a library reference is present in SAS, via the libname statement.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So you need to create the directory on the server with the appropriate tool (or through the Files section in the server list), and define a libname.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To use a UNC in a libname statement, that UNC needs to be present in the server.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
