I am using SAS enterprise guide to export a dataset into excel. however the columns are wrapped to fit 'column name's' length showing data values as ###,

obviously our users can manually expand column length. I wonder if there is a simple way to fix this.

Tried creating a column alias with a lot of empty spaces to expand the length but the effort proved futile

Quite possibly its using proc export behind the scenes. If you want nice output to Excel use ods tagsets.excelxp and proc report to generate XML output which can be interpreted in Excel. Whats the output used for? If its data transfer, I would suggest CSV, XML etc. For review purposes, the above ods tagset, or PDF/RTF etc.
