Hi,

I am new to using Information Maps in SAS EG. I know that I can import an Information map in a SAS EG project. Now I have created an information map tested it and saved it under SAS folders/My Folder. But now when I try to open that Information map from SAS EG, I can not find any information map under that folder. It is completely blank. I can import some previously created information maps though from some other folders (tried saving my info map in that folder too, no luck).

Is there some steps I need to perform after I create an info map to make it available in SAS EG, like registering it in SMC (just fishing) or something.

May be, this is a very trivial/stupid question but as a beginner any help will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Saugata.

Per your description, this is rather odd, as building an Infomap is a completely metadata based activity, which does not require to register in metadata explicitly. I can only suggest the following:

1. Make sure the infomap is saved in the folder you want, and if it is saved, it should be visible from Infomap studio, SMC , EG and many other EBI applications.

2. Make sure in EG, 'All applicable SAS types' or 'Information map' is selected in the pull-down list when viewing SAS folders.

3. Refresh your EG connection.

4. If none of those works, prepare to contact SAS tech support.

Good Luck,

Haikuo

add one more note: make sure the credential you use to make Infomap is the same one you use in EG, in case they have different permissions.
