topic Excel sheet name VS Sas name in SAS Enterprise Guide

I have an Excel file with a sheet name of "Tabx".
When i did a LIBNAME, it worked ok, but I see it in the directory as "Tabx$".

Problem is , because of the extra "$" character, my code is producing syntax error.
Does anybody know how to solve this ? Thanks.

Hi:
Perhaps these Tech Support notes are relevant. In some instances, it looks like SAS appends the $ when the WorkBOOK and the WorkSHEET have the same name:
http://support.sas.com/techsup/unotes/SN/012/012766.html
(same name workbook and worksheet)

http://support.sas.com/techsup/unotes/SN/016/016176.html
(objects that end with $ are worksheet names)

http://support.sas.com/techsup/unotes/SN/004/004561.html

For more help with this issue, you might consider contacting Tech Support.
