I'm having a bit of trouble with SAS EG exporting to an Access database. I'm running 64-bit Windows, 64-bit SAS EG 5.1, and 64-bit Office. I've downloaded the PC File Server, and if I load up some bogus data into base SAS 9.3 (32-bit), I can export that data using the exact same code. I've found that some people have problems when they have an HP printer as their default printer; I don't, but I still switched my printer and still get the same error. I've updated my Microsoft Access Database Engine. So I'm sort of at a loss for what's going on.

PROC EXPORT data=work.rejh

OUTTABLE="COHORT"

DBMS = ACCESSCS

REPLACE;

DATABASE="\\...\FF_COHORT.accdb";

RUN;

I've also tried DBMS=ACCESS. Each time, I get "Connection Failed. See log for details." Of course, there aren't any details.

Any ideas?

If the SAS session is on a remote Windows machine, then you might be running into a delegation issue. That's where your local connection to a Windows server won't let you access another network resource (such as a network folder) because the credentials don't propagate to the "second hop".

See the SAS notes about "Trusted for Delegation". Here's one:

41477 - Authorization errors can occur in SAS® Enterprise Guide® when you use Integrated Windows Authentication

To fix, you'll need the help of an admin who can make a change in Active Directory for you.

Chris
