In excel NULL is a character string so SAS is reading it in properly. You didnt really explain your situation, but if its just one file you could just simply do a find and replace in the excel spreadsheet replacing NULL with a space.

Or you can recode the fields once you get it into EG through a data step.

EJ

HI, I have a problem when I try to import a excel spreadsheet where the null values are not blank spaces but NULL. Is there any form that the Guide could import that values as null instead of a string that say NULL?

Thanks!

Well, the excel file is generated for another program. I will try with data steps, because is a process that run daily and it's not efficient replace the excel file manually everyday. Thanks!
