Hi All,

Background:

we are using SAS EG 5.1 locally and sever is windows 2008r2 std (remote server machine)

problem:

one users are getting SASApp conection error while working on SASEG 5.1 on her machine. ERROR MSG: "A connection to the server SASApp could not be established"

i did check sas note 36029 on this issue. I did validate sasapp workspace server and running perfectly, in MC "SASUSERS" has RM permission (GRAY) for that particular user and same for other users. (but i didn't add individual user name under autorization tab and gave RM permission, just have "SASUSERS" and gave RM permisssion).

is there anything need to be done to established proper connection in SASEG? - Please advise...

Thanks all...

The end user account must be part of a group that has "Log on as a batch job" privilege on the remote Windows machine. To verify, you can check your object spawner log (on the server side) to see what information is recorded when the user attempts to connect.

Chris
