That certainly accomplished the logic and look I was going for. Never saw that feature before. Powerful stuff.
https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/gifts/Species-Adoptions/Snow-Leopard.aspx?test=true
https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/gifts/Species-Adoptions/African-Elephant.aspx?test=true

A related question: Is it possible to insert the spot attribute into the creative as one can with events? Or to directly scrape the part of the url I need into creative? For example, the only difference between the multiple creatives above are the image paths. For me to test and/or scale this template modification, it might make more sense me to use one creative rather than create 100 identical creatives, slightly tweaked.

https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/Images/extra-large-species-photo/extra-large-African-Elephant-photo.jpg
https://gifts.worldwildlife.org/gift-center/Images/extra-large-species-photo/extra-large-Snow-Leopard-photo.jpg

Help! I am stuck in a maddening loop.

I am coding a template-related task (eventually an A-B task) for my website using variables captured from product views.

In my scenario, a user goes to the African Elephant adoption kit page, and then the snow leopard adoption kit page or the reverse path...

How can I force a task to serve content related to the page the user is on? As you will see on my attachments...currently, the content is reversed. The elephant hero (and the path name for testing purposes) is showing on the snow leopard page. And the snow leopard hero is showing on the elephant page.

I suspect this is because my event is capturing the product info from product 1 and then serving it on product 2. I'd rather serve that information during the initial product view.

With events you get this timing issue. If you want to use values from the current page you should define a spot attribute. The spot attribute would be your relevant URL level. Then you can have a task with multiple creative and under "distribution" (internally we call that content level targeting) you can define rules which creative to show based on the value of that spot attribute.
