topic Intel’s Cloud Edition for Lustre File System is NOT going away! in Administration and Deployment

Recent press releases regarding Intel’s decision to roll their Enterprise version of Lustre into their Communty version of Lustre have confused Intel’s support of the Lustre File System. This has caused many SAS customers to believe that the Intel Cloud Edition for Lustre File System will not be enhanced or supported in the future. This is a complete misunderstanding of Intel’s plan for their Cloud Edition for Lustre File System.

The Intel Cloud Edition for Lustre File System has always been part of the Community version of Lustre File System. This version of Lustre File System will not change. Intel will continue to enhance and support it.

Hope this clears up the FUD that is surfacing from the recent Intel announcement to roll their Enterprise version of Lustre into their Community version of Lustre.
