Otherwise, if you're planning to do a SAS installation interview and don't already know the answer to the question then you're misrepresenting yourself.

The word interview indicates that the OP is preparing for some kind of position, please clarify the background to your inquiry.
A bit odd to learn 9.3 rather 9.4 deployment. Install/configuration is a quite limited task.

High level installation steps for a single server:

Order Software
Download SAS Software Depot
Make sure OS updates are in place
Confirm & update OS to meet SAS System Requirements (SAS System Requirements)
Obtain SAS Plan file
Perform steps in SAS Pre-Installation Checklist (Add OS users, groups, check ports, etc. See checklist file)
Run the SAS Deployment Wizard to install and configure SAS
Perform post installation tasks
Validate & test the installation
