Hello everyone,

I've some problems with queries made by users (extremelly bad queries) that are consuming all machine resources and then the server crashes.

It's possible to limit, by default to all session, the maximum memory allocated?

Thanks in Advance.

André

Hi Andre,

each operating system has its own options, but probably what you would like is to create a new SASApp or, at least, a new LASR server for thos users. In the LASR server you can set a memory limit, and a new SASApp will allow you to set a complete set of options.

PS. I would personally set the limits in the application ( LASR server and maybe SASApp) rather than in the operating system
