This happened to me as well

The problem in my case was that when I opened SAS EV->Workload Orchestrator->Nodes I did not see all the nodes I expected to see - some were missing. I restarted all the Workload Orchestrator pod (both DaemonSet and StatefulSet) and then it worked.

Hi everyone,

I am working on LTS 2025.03, I am unable to launch a session of SAS Studio.

I am getting the following timeout error, i have even tried increasing the timeout from the default 60seconds all the way till 5mins. But the issue still persists.

Timeout of session with following error-

cause: The process initialization for the Compute server with the ID "ac72ec91-ad1c-4b87-af25-08200fe6911c" timed out after 120 seconds.

path: /compute/contexts/10738c2a-eb52-4fd6-a288-92ff11847154/sessions

correlator: 89ce9adb-1e0e-4a05-ad7f-78b35cac6ca7;720d043e-a029-4813-81c0-7c0187767632

path: /studio/sessions/1cdf2811-8c81-4c52-84bb-43fb3eb785ab/sassession

correlator: 89ce9adb-1e0e-4a05-ad7f-78b35cac6ca7

The sas-compute-server pod will launch and running only once the above error has been displayed in SAS Studio.

I have attached the log file from the following pods that I was able to capture.

sas-compute-server

sas-studio

sas-launcher

sas-compute

sas-workload-orchestrator

I have even tried restoring to a older backing which was working.

Would like to know if there is any solution other than a fresh installation.

note> the logs are not of matching sas-compute-server and session id.
