Hello
I am trying to understand and learn the process of deploying SAS Viya4 on OpenShift In premises on VMWare platform.

I have gone through the documentation at https://go.documentation.sas.com/doc/en/itopscdc/v_067/dplyml0phy0dkr/titlepage.htm?fromDefault= (My understanding is that this an excellent reference for the learned experts) and the two Red Hat blogs https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/sas-viya-on-red-hat-openshift-part-1-reference-architecture-and-deployment-considerations
https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/sas-viya-on-red-hat-openshift-part-2-security-and-storage-considerations .

I was looking at something that is a more like 9.4 documentation for example https://go.documentation.sas.com/doc/en/bicdc/9.4/biig/n05001intelplatform00install.htm .

What I am interested is a single unified document that any working SAS Admin with a fundamental knowledge of Unix, Cloud and SAS should be able to get started in a reasonable amount of time.
Articles dealing with a particular topic in a specific environment will be of great help once the install is complete.
I would appreciate if somebody can help.

This is really just my own personal thoughts here. With Viya, I think it is unrealistic to expect a single unified installation document. SAS lists six platform-specific options:

That means you will need at least six unified documents to cover these. However Openshift could be used in both cloud and on-premise installations so I'm sure the list of potential configurations is much higher than six.

Perhaps what would be useful is a Viya installation roadmap that guides you through the various installation options and required / recommended documentation for each.

The OpenShift training course would probably be helpful. You can take advantage of a 7 day free trial.
Course: SAS® Viya®: Deployment on RedHat OpenShift Container Platform

Might as well plug the entire Learning Path 🙂
SAS Deployment Learning Subscription
