It depends what you mean by a downside.

I've highlighted the major difference - you need to upgrade at least every three months to maintain standard support versus every two years with LTS.

Hello
Wondering if there are any downsides in moving from LTS to Stable Cadence (Other than support level)?
Any thing to look out for?

May be some undocumented feature or hack.

When versions change this can change the configuration of the database (e.g. columns added/removed/resized, indexes changed, etc.) As such, a backup from one version cannot be restored to a different version. So, for example, if you took a backup at LTS 2024.03 and then upgraded to Stable 2024.07, you could not then restore from that backup and remain in a supported state. You would need to revert your deployment back to LTS 2024.03 and then restore from the backup.

Content that is exported from one Viya 4 environment can be imported to another at a newer version, this should not be an issue.
