Hi SAS Community,

I just recently installed a new SAS VIYA 3.5 on RHEL8 and when im trying to login to sasboot after resetting the password for the first time, it showing me the error

"The application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager."

As per checking of the saslogon logs this is what i found...

WARN 1348687 --- [ bootstrap-2] c.s.a.bootstrap.RemoteRuleLoader : service [RETRIEVAL_EXCEPTION] An exception occurred while retrieving the existing rules: org.springframework.web.client.ResourceAccessException: I/O error on GET request for "/authorization/rules": Certificate for <rhel8-viya> doesn't match any of the subject alternative names: [localhost, rhel8-viya, , *.rhel8-test, X.X.X.X, 127.0.0.1]; nested exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: Certificate for <rxasasnu01-sxm.uat.iex.seab.gov.sg> doesn't match any of the subject alternative names: [localhost, rhel8-viya, , *.rhel8-test, X.X.X.X, 127.0.0.1]

It got the similar error on this post https://communities.sas.com/t5/Administration-and-Deployment/The-application-is-not-authorized-to-use-SAS-Logon-Manager/td-p/514329

But i already have a correct /etc/hosts file. For the certificate does it need to have the fqdn?Am I missing some steps here? appreciate your help

I figured this one out eventually.

The certificate must have the FQDN. Need to re-apply the certificate and run the distribute certificate using the ansible-playbook. Once done, check the localhost.crt and it should have the FQDN.
