Compare products found in Content Assessment to setinit product list

Hi all.

I'm looking through Content Assessment for SAS 9.4M7 in order to prepare migration to Viya 4.

We have a lot of SAS programs (thousands) and we are trying to get an overview of our situation, which can be quite complex in a large SAS setup.

I have extracted the PROC and Product list from the CTA reports in Viya.

Then I have extracted the procedure to product list from SAS' website.

And finally I have extracted info from proc setinit in our 9.4 environment.

But the product names extracted from the above places are not camparable.

You cannot just run a PROC SQL and join on product name.

Has anybody here solved that challenge?
Does anybody know where to find comparable product information/lists in SAS or on the website?

What are you hoping to achieve by comparing SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya products?

I'm not trying to compare 9.4 with Viya products.

I'm trying to find a consistent way to recognise product names in 9.4.

But I have decided to go through my list manually in order to find what I need.

Have you tried to use the Deployment Registry Report? It will display the Product Code along with its Long/Descriptive name

Here are couple of links on how to generate one for your current deployment.

You'll need to run this on every host/machine you have SAS software deployed on.
