Hi,

Most environment settings are done in the casconfig_usermods.lua file. I would expect that for umask as well. For Linux that file is in /opt/sas/viya/config/etc/cas/default.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

I am loading data to CAS (on Viya 3.5) and then saving it as ".sas7hdat" file. The saved ".sas7hdat" has r-x permission for Other and I want to change the umask of CAS so that when I save it will have --- for Other (meaning no access at all for Other)

Is this possible?

Try adding "umask 027" (or whatever you want the umask to be) in /opt/sas/viya/config/etc/cas/default/cas_usermods.settings on all the CAS hosts.
