    <description>&lt;P&gt;Opening the required ports would not cause an issue in the SAS installation. During installation one selects the required port number (or the default value).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In any case all ports are not used.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If there is a firewall installed the selected&amp;nbsp; ports need to be open for communications.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Opening ports from 0/1024 to 65535 means we are opening everything for inbound and outbound connections .&amp;nbsp; Is it safe to open to sas Clients as well&amp;nbsp; or just sas servers ? If we give this range then we can ignore other ports? (ex: metadata ports, compute ports,etc )?&lt;/P&gt;
