Hi All,

Please advise. I am getting the below error in SAS DM, when installing Midtier. Below is the error and a screen shot of the log file mentioned in the error as well. Any help is much appreciated. Please let me know if you may need any further details of the issue.

ERROR: "An issue has been encountered with your SAS Software Depot that cannot be corrected. A summary of the error is shown below. Full details can be found in the log at /sas/sashome944/InstallMisc/InstallLogs Install file: /tmp/_setup24061/hotfixes/extracted/product_data/dcmcommid__A9H008__prt__xx__sp0__1/install.xml does not exist".

Log File screen shot :

If the file is missing, the SAS Software Depot may not have been created correctly.
If you created a Depot for installation from a DVD or the original Depot, I recommend that you create it again, or contact Technical Support if you downloaded the Depot as an ESD.

Thank you both for the responses. I tried re-creating the Depot and it didn't help. Opened a track already and the issue/solution suggested by SAS Rep that worked for me, is as below:

This error you're reporting is the result of the /tmp location running out of disk space during the hot fix installation:

/tmp/_setup24061/hotfixes/extracted/product_data/dcmcommid__A9H008__prt__xx__sp0__1/install.xml does not exist

If this is occurring during a standalone hot fix install or a new installation of SAS you may need to free significant disk space in /tmp, or when restarting the SDM or SDW use the -templocation option to specify an empty directory on a file system that has plenty of free disk space.

SDM: sasdm.sh -templocation </alternate_directory>

SDW: setup.sh -templocation </alternate_directory>
