VIYA 3.4 export package for custom groups fails

Dear all,

I'm facing error while exporting custom groups via CLI in SAS VIYA 3.4. This occurs after using the export command in CLI:

/opt/sas/viya/home/bin/sas-admin transfer download --id 2916d2cb-14bd-4418-9aff-2d90feb4397e --file /tmp/package_groups.json

1 error occured:

* json: json: cannot unmarshal object into Go struct field TransferObject.content of type string

Http Status: 0

Does anyone have an idea for a fix or workaround on this?

It seems like a bug in VIYA 3.4. It's possible to export rules for the custom groups, but not the groups.

Solution:
1. Add custom groups to your VIYA environment manually.
2. Import rules for custom groups with the CLI or wizard.
