Creating a copy of the configuration directory and the WebSphere directory while the services are all stopped will be enough to give you a safety net. In the event anything goes wrong you'd be able to rename the directories to put the backup copy you took back the way it was before you started the update and things should be back to the state they were before you started.

Hello,

We are going to change the SAS internal and External password with SDM. Just wanted to check what is best way to roll back sas config files if in case we will face any issue during deployment.

We are using 9.2 and web sphere as a mid tier. Can we take backup of sas config files with OS command or is there other best in 9.2?
