When installer ID is not available, could another admin ID do a product add? (WIN X64 )

SAS 9.4 TS1M4 on win x64 2012 R2 std server OA Stack.

Someone who left the org did an install under their own admin level ID. There is a need to add a module. That credential initially used is not available. Can another admin level ID do the module add? Options?

In a windows environment, you don't need to utilize the original install id used to install SAS. An admin account will work fine. In a unix environment this is different.

Please be sure to back up your environment completely and also backup the Lev1 Directory before doing a major change.

Also be sure to get specific details with sas tech support on what documentation you should use to add software.

You should consider creating an official SAS install service account that is not personally allocated to avoid such problems in the future.
