The Environment Manager Agent pulls statistics about the Deployment Agent using the ".pid" file in <sashome>/SASDeploymentAgent/9.4. Is that file present and contains the current process ID of the Deployment Agent process on each host?
If so, you may wish to examine the agent.log file in <sas-config>/Levn/SASEnvironmentManager/agent-5.8.0-EE/log, the log should contain a thread on the Deployment Agent and indicate any errors related to reading the metrics on the process.
Note that in a Grid environment with a shared SAS installation directory, the Deployment Agent should not be run on each grid node, as it will overwrite the .pid file.
This behavior is changed in 9.4 M6 to use a unique file name (server.<hostname>.pid).

Hi All,

We have installed and configured SAS 9.4 M5 Grid version (Multi tier architecture) in a Linux Environment.

SAS Deployment Agent shows a Warning symbol in SAS EVM for all the servers.

SAS deployment agent seems to be running fine on the port 5660 .

we have stopped and started the agent service through SAS DM. But still it shows warning symbol.

Could you please suggest what could be the issue.

Thanks,

Madhan M
