Bulkload to postgresql on AIX

Hi All,

Wanted to check if anyone has been able to get Bulkoad to Postgresql to work on AIX 7.1 server (SAS 9.4).

I was referring to a sas document which says support is available for bulkload on AIX

but on running the bulkload it seems SAS looks for the "psql" command line utility. My admin says that PSQL is not available for AIX 7.1 server. Just wanted to confirm if anyone has a different idea or approach for this ?

Hi @NN,

We have customers running this on AIX. You don't mention the version of PostgreSQL you are using or the maintenance level of SAS (M<and some number>). This information is important in diagnosing the issue.

Make sure that you are using a supported version of PostgreSQL. Here is a screenshot from the SAS Systems Requirements for SAS 9.4 on AIX. Your best bet may be to contact tech support.

UPDATE: SAS 9.4M6 requires a Hot Fix (H3J001) to be installed to get access to use BULKUNLOAD=.

Though 9.4 my version is lower , the document helps.
