SAS Authentication using PAM_LDAP

Hi All,

We have installed and configured SAS 9.4 M5 Grid version in Linux Environment.

So far we have used PAM Authentication and its working fine.

As part of RFC 2307 implememtation we had to use the LDAP authentication and after SAS is not able to connect Application Server. It is not able to authenticate the user.

https://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/en/ikfdtnunxcg/66380/PDF/default/config.pdf

As per the above link

The sas-services-daemon utility does not directly support LDAP. If LDAP is a
requirement, SAS recommends that you use the PAM LDAP module.

Could you please suggest the way to configure the PAM LDAP Module.

Thanks,

Note: This additional step applies only to a SAS Grid Manager environment (with SAS 9.4M6 or later).
It does not apply to a SAS Grid Manager for Platform environment or to a SAS Grid Manager for
Hadoop environment.

I think its not applicable as per the doc for SAS 9.4 M5 Version

Hi Anand,

Thanks for the quick response.

we are trying to update the sssd.conf file under the directory etc/sssd.

After changing the below variable to 'False'(to implement RFC 2307) the LDAP authentication is not working as it is not able to authenticate the user from SAS EG(Failed to connect to SASApp Server).

ldap_id_mapping = True

Could you please suggest.

Thanks,
