I am having a problem regarding the error mentioned on a server and upon checking on the external connection configuration under SAS Application Infrastructure -> Web Infra Platform Client Access on SAS Management Console, I saw that the hostname settings is referring to an old host name that is now not available.

My question is how am I gonna configure the host name and port settings for external connection configuration?

I have tried using the internal connection information and restarted all needed services but I have no luck.

I am new to SAS configuration and also I want to know what this configuration does.
Thanks.

Hi, This link was the first thing i've tried. I suspect that the external connection settings is wrong and I really don't know what settings (hostname, port, etc) I should use for this. I have no idea what hostname to use that's why I just used the internal connection. But I still have the same problem.

Did the installation team prepare a document with the settings used for the installation and configuration?
If you study that document it should become clear what the initial configuration was and that can provide clues on what you need to change.

I just triple checked the installation documents but I can't find a configuration settings for Web Infra Platform Client Access. All there is are the username/password for all settings and a bunch of screenshots of the actual installation processed done. Thank you for the suggestions. Will try to check it again.

Hi @dbernard

Can you check what information is configured for other services under the same path?

For example, you can check, Web infra platform services 9.4 under SAS Application Infrastructure to validate if there is an entry in the external connection or not.

If Not, I would suggest you to align all your services with the same internal information. The values provided in the internal connection tab is used to construct a URL to access your web services. Usually you would set this to your web application server host-name and port and the protocol it is configured i.e. HTTP or HTTPs. Would suggest you to leave the service name as default.

In-case your site has proxy configured then you should provide info regarding proxy settings in the external connection tab or else you can just enable the option 'use internal connection information'.

You can find some more info about this on this link
