Is SAS Viya mandatory on GCP

Hello,

We have plan to migrate to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Is SAS Viya setup mandatory to migrate to GCP. We intend to use SAS Grid manager configuration itself instead of SAS Viya products.

Please advise.

SAS Viya is not a requirement for any cloud deployment. GCP, Azure, AWS, Alibaba, On-prem or hybrid. View the SAS solution and deployment pattern as two topics. Essentially all SAS products are supported on a Cloud platform by means of our virtualization policy, but Cloud does bring some additional considerations.

I would suggest that you engage with your local SAS account team for guidance on this initiative. As a community we are ready to help, but there might be considerations that are customer specific.
