Cannot uninstall SAS 9.4 from Windows 10 x64

Hi,

Each time I try to uninstall SAS 9.4 from a Windows 10 PC, through the Control Panel, it fails. A prompt indicating "Computer doesn't have SSE2 Instructions" appears. Is this related to Java? Java 6 u34 and 8 u171 are installed. I am doing all of this from an administrative account. What else could I try?

Apparently, this issue is resolved in an update. When I go to download the update, I get an "access denied" page.

Update to what? SAS? Windows 10? something else? At what page?

What maintenance level of SAS 9.4 are we talking about?

I'm currently running SAS 9.4 at its default maintenance level, post-installation (TM Level 1M0). I need to get some updates but am unable to download them (access denied).

I am trying to uninstall SAS 9.4 as a whole from Windows, through the Windows Control Panel \ Programs & Features. This error is what appears when I do so. I'm unable to post a screen shot as the forum prevents all BMP, JPG, and PNG file extensions.

Hello @jas0nrw,

that's OK, although the recommended way to remove SAS from your system, is with the SAS Deployment Manager, it should be on the Start menu under the SAS folder.

You can insert "Photos" (see the camera icon in the menu of the text editor) or you can attach a word document, including your screenshot/s.

I'm trying to automate the removal process in the end to all of this, but that error is stopping a successful execution.

The same that you can automate installs, with the SAS Deployment Wizard and response files, you can automate the removal of installations with the SAS Deployment Manager and a response file
