Hello Enzo, @eirigoyen,

even before enabling the Reports of Report Center, by enabling EMI framework, there is some Audit data in the WIP database (postgres). When you enable the Extended Monitoring of EMI Framework, you should be able to get even more data, and even have a starting datamart, and reports.

But none of that will give you all the information you need. You best option is the SAS Federation Server, as middle-ware software of connection to your data origins. But, it requires extra license and installation/configuration. Bear that in mind. If Audit is high prio, you should go for it.

More options and alternatives you have:

- you can create a macro, to include in your EG projects, and this macro will read the code, during execution time and ssend the required data to your selected datamart.

- Windows and Linux are Auditable, but not all the options are enabled by default, to be incontrol of the performance and give you the chance to select what exactly you would like to audit. Please talk to your OS system admins, for this purpose.

Greetings,

Does SAS stores metrics regarding programs, projects, anywhere? log files, postgre database(s)?

We need to get to some specific metrics about programs(.sas7bdat) and projects (.egp)

what kind of data sources it uses (databases),

who is the owner,

who run it last time,

when was the program last saved,

when was the program last run,

what are the output datasets.

We currently are running SAS 9.4M5 in a multi server installation on Unix. We are working on enabling the Report Center in Environment Manager, but we are still not quite there yet.

Any information is appreciated.

Thank you,

Enzo
