Opening a track with tech support is recommended. Do you have other clients at hand, like iMap-Studio or Management Console, to test whether this is a problem in metadata or with the connection?

Hello,

indeed, a ticket with SAS Technical Support seems to be fit for this kind of question.

Is your installation a local one, or is it virtualized with Citrix, AppV, ThinApp or similar?

In case it is local:

- you maybe can get additional information by checking the Windows Event logs

- and perhaps is a COM component not registered properly on EG. I recommend to run EGuide.exe /register.

I have users beginning to experience this exact issue.

They all are using air cards for internet access and connected to our company's VPN, which is overloaded and slow. When I have the users switch from using the air card for internet access to their home Wi-Fi, they connect fine and do not receive errors.
