Hi,

We are migrating from SAS v9.3 to SAS v9.4. Sadly, our migration process is getting stalled as the sasv9.4 license provided (by our local sas) has a shorter expiration date. I checked the site number, site name, contract site name, operating system and the products ordered were all the same except for the sas version.

Are we not entitled to get the same license expiration date for our SASv9.4? Are you guys getting the same treatment?

Looking forward to your feedbacks

Best Regards,

Shiro

Expiration dates are subject to negotiation between SAS and the customer. Sometimes the dates are changed to align them across multiple SAS installations or to align with the customer's accounting preferences.

You need to check your SAS software invoice to confirm what was actually paid for and for what licence period - this should be the same as specified in your SAS licence unless a mistake has been made.

Hello @ShiroAmada,

indeed, as @SASKiwi mentions, all is about agreements. Did you already contact your SAS account manager to share this issue, to extend the license? SAS contracts stick to policies, but policies are defined after the agreement.
