Once the DB2 software is deployed onto the SAS server and shown to be working its fairly simple to follow the steps outline in the configuration guide for UNIX that @SASKiwi outlined in the post above.

You just need to teach SAS where to find the DB2 libraries.

Hi,

I have to connect to DB2 database from SAS 9.4. Previously we have used odbc.ini file for the connection in older version of sas.

But in 9.4, we have SAS ACCESS to DB2 database installed. Is there is any specific file for db2 connection (same like tnsnames.ora for oracle) in SAS server to edit the database credentials.

Where we will create the dsn for DB2 connection??

Thanks in Advance.

What OS does SAS run on?

If it is Unix check this out: http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/en/ikfdtnunxcg/66380/PDF/default/config.pdf
