I had the exact problem a while ago. I'm trying to recall from memory, so forgive me if it's not 100%....

Oracle introduced a change where the signing of components are more strict. So if you have a later version of JWS with a earlier version of SAS, you find that some SAS components are 'not trusted' according to Oracle. The temp fix is to relax some of these algorithms on JWS. Unfortunately I got it from a Javaforum somewhere and I don't have the details anymore. Just Google, you'll pick it up.

However, personally, I would suggest that you look into using the SAS EMiner fat client rather. There are perceived benefits from using JWS, but my experience has always been the opposite. E.g. things like this. 'Something' changes in the world of Java, and things stop working. By using the fat clients, you know it will work since the client and server software comes packaged form the same vendor and works without fail. Just my 2 cents worth....

Hello @againreddy,

the advice given by @nhvdwalt goes to the right direction, indeed.

This failure might be caused due to different possible reasons:

The jar file/s might not been updated properly during the update. I would recommend to run a sasiq test (SAS Install Quallification test) on the middle-tier machine, and see if there is any file with wrong md5 check.

You could have also additional JRE/JDK installed and, for some reason, the one executing the webstart is not the one that signed the jar or not compatible. http://support.sas.com/kb/53/017.html

You can try to apply this change: http://support.sas.com/kb/49/488.html or https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17923635/found-unsigned-entry-in-resource Forecast Studio webstart is similar to Miner webstart.

Finally, although not recommended, but it helped me once, a modification on the Manifest atributes https://nowaker.net/post/found-unsigned-entry-in-resource-java-web-start.html

Anyway, if you reached the 3rd option and it could not help, I would contact directly SAS Technical Support.

This set of suggested solution is only 2 weeks old and both of the support.sas.com are no longer available on the SAS site. Is it possible to get updated links?
