Yes, there is a paper from a few years ago: http://support.sas.com/rnd/scalability/grid/SGMonAWS.pdf
We have also done more testing recently and that information can be found here: https://communities.sas.com/t5/Administration-and-Deployment/Important-Performance-Considerations-When-Moving-SAS/m-p/360500
You need to get a good understanding of the IO throughput your SAS application needs and see if these needs can be met in AWS.
Please let me know if you need more information.
Margaret

Have you done any research on SAS Grid on Cloud Platform such as AWS? or do you have already an environment running on AWS?

Grid would need shared File system, how AWS achieving this for SAS? Lustre? how feasible is that?

Thank you Margaret for providing great source of information.

Lustre is not supported by Intel now and this is really a worry now I believe, and installing / configuring Lustre is again a complex task, there seems to be no documentation to set-up Lustre for SAS.

Lustre set-up and DR capabilities should be discussed about .

And are there any R&D happening with regards to using some other shared file system such as IBM Spectrum Scale
