Can you attach your !SASHome\InstallMisc\InstallLogs IT_<date/time stamp>.log - if it's too big, at least the part that comes after

"Controller - Post processing"? That will have more details about the post processing install failure. You might also want to Contact SAS Institute Technical Support for faster resolution.

SAS Client installation Error - Base SAS(64-bit, English Update) - Resolved

In this case.

1, Need to disable McAfee.

2. Uninstall SAS.

3. Remove all the SAS related folders.

4. Start the installation.

5. If you still get the error, Continue till end of installation. (You will see one error)

6. Again start the installation process by clicking sas.exe.

7. Select "Resume unfinished deployment

8. While checking the system in SAS Deployment Wizard, You may get some tomcat process blocking error.

9. In command prompt please run following command

netstat -aon |find /i "listening" |find "8080"

Ex: taskkill /F /PID 189 (from the above command)

You have to run this several times, so that you won't see any Tomcat process while running step 8 (mentioned above).

10.Once this is cleared your installation will be successful.

I tried this on several laptops. I am positive this works.

I would separate what happened to the 2 products.

First:

You have a failure with the first installation but the update one is successful.

So your SAS Deployment Tester seems to be installed.

Now the other one:

Completed with errors - SAS/GRAPH Java Applets for Web Servers

Completed with errors - SAS/GRAPH Java Applets for Web Servers (Update)

This is a product you can install without using your depot. Did you try to download it from https://support.sas.com/downloads/browse.htm?fil=&cat=82 and then install it?

Overall, the problem might be due to an invalid/corrupted depot.

If you want to check the validity of your depot, you can use the SAS Depot Checker, it's very easy to use and it's available from your depot.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, I downloaded new Software Depot and started the installation. Still I was getting error. I had to run setup.exe twice to complete the installation process.
