Turning on Java debugging could help. I don't use the desktop client, just JWS, but when I encountered this issue it was because I needed to import our company's certs/authchain to the PC's local java keystore because it's trying to communicate with the SAS web/web app servers which were set up with SSL/TLS

Hi all,

I've just installed SAS EM 14.2 client on my PC. When trying to open it the following error appear:

The application was unable to load the SAS environment definitions

I've verified that exist this SAS Note about this matter: http://support.sas.com/kb/50/466.html. So, I opened my sassw.config to verify the value of SASENVIROMENTURL. The value is ok, in fact, I copy the URL and past on my browser and it redirect me to SAS login page.

Any idea what is going on?

Regards,

Thanks @Timmy2383. I trying to use JWS too, but there is an incompatibility issue with Java 1.8 144. I've alredy installed the hotfix mentionated in this note: https://support.sas.com/kb/60/326.html but the same error still continue.

So, now I trying to downgrade the Java version. Do you know the procedure to import my company's certs/authchain?

Regards,

It should be standard importing procedures. I followed this: https://www.grim.se/guide/jre-cert

I found it. The correct port for 9.4 is 7980. I made the change and know I can connect. Thanks!
