How do I register a client for Authentication and Authorization

Hello,

I have subscribed to SAS Viya trial and Cloud-based SAS Studio.

I want to use SAS REST API's but it needs to register a client for Authentication and Authorization after that I can get an access token, but I am not able to find how to register a client for Authentication and Authorization.

I am using Windows 10 OS to connect with SAS Studio.

You need to be an administrator to register a client. If that's the case, then you would be able to do this directly in SAS Studio using the following macro: https://core.sasjs.io/mv__registerclient_8sas.html

Thank you for your reply.
When I am trying to run the suggested macro ( https://core.sasjs.io/mv__registerclient_8sas.html ) facing following issue:

ERROR: Execution canceled by an %ABORT CANCEL statement.

Please suggest a solution.

I would need to see more of the log to confirm, but it sounds like you are not an administrator.

I suggest asking an administrator to register your client - they would be able to run the macro, or use a tool like this: https://sasjs.io/apps/#viya-client-token-generator
